THE SUSPECT OF THE ATTACK WAS APPREHENED IN ABUJA POLICE STATION
In a shocking incident that sent shockwaves through the nation some months ago, some suspects recently launched a brazen attack on the convoy of a renowned man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
The incident has left authorities and the public searching for answers, trying to understand the motives and identity of the assailant.
The police officers in Abuja apprehended one of the suspects who intended to kill the man of God. One of the suspects’ names is Yusuf Isah from Kogi State, who is a plumber in Agbaraoluwa Phase 2 Ijoka in Akure, Ondo State.
He was one of those who attacked the convoy of the man of God, who is the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Johnson Suleman.
The attack occurred on a fateful day as the convoy of the revered spiritual leader made its way through the city of Benin to Auchi with AK47.
Witnesses reported a sudden burst of gunfire and explosions that sent panic and chaos rippling through the area.
The assailant, armed with a combination of firearms and explosives, launched a coordinated assault on the convoy, causing significant damage and injuries to the security personnel and innocent bystanders and six people as well three police officers lost their lives.
Mr. Yusuf, in his response to the press and police authority, said,
“Our intention for the attack on this man of God is to ensure we put him into a state of death and kill all that he has in life.”
Law enforcement agencies swiftly initiated an investigation into the incident, using all available resources to identify the suspect responsible for the attack.
After thorough examination of the crime scene and meticulous analysis of surveillance footage, they managed to piece together crucial evidence that led them to a potential suspect, Yusuf Isah, who joined the group in 2021 after his release, and they have committed a lot of crimes since 2021 to date.
