YOU SOW, HE BRINGS IN THE HARVEST; By Pastor Lazarus Muoka.

YOU SOW, HE BRINGS IN THE HARVEST

Memory verse: “6

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” (1Corinthians 3: 6-7)

Probably the most important job that God has called Christians to do is to go and win souls over to the kingdom. This was the great commission that Jesus gave His disciples before He ascended into heaven. So, we should take this very seriously.

We are not saved to be saved alone but to rescue others. In this case, Jesus is the example that we should follow. From the time He started His earthly ministry till He was taken up, He was busy preaching the gospel and doing good. He knew His time was limited and made good use of it.

We are also racing against time. Rapture is nearing and the end is here. We also should not waste time but make haste to spread the good news of salvation. However, many of us think this is the work of pastors and evangelists alone.

This is not true. We can spread the news everywhere we go to whoever we meet. We do not have to stand before a large congregation before we can share the word. In our everyday lives and associations, we have the chance to share our testimony and invite others to come and see the goodness of the Lord.

In our passage today, I want us to focus on the sower. We are told that he went about sowing seed and his seed fell in all kinds of places. Some fell upon stony places, some among thorns, some on the wayside while some fell on good soil.

The point however is that he seemed not to choose or pick where to sow his seed. We are not told that he went only to the good soil to sow.

He was scattering it all over the places. Many of us like to pick and choose the recipient of our message to only those we think are receptive and approachable. This should not be.

You should preach to anybody that God had placed in your path whether you think they will receive it or not. Religion, status, attitude, etc, should not be a consideration when you are sharing the word.

If we all picked only the people we thought we can approach how will sinners be saved? How will the high and mighty be converted? It is not you that will convert them it is the Holy Spirit. Do your job and He will do His.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Ask for the boldness to be able to preach the word to all and sundry.

2. Ask the Holy spirit to make hearts and souls fertile soil for the word of God.

3. Pray for the 10 billion soul mandate that it may be actualized before rapture.

4. Pray for our Daddy and Mommy in the Lord that God will continue to use them mightily for the good of His kingdom.
