Gamophobia a fear of commitment or fear of marriage can keep you from enjoying meaningful relationships. A painful breakup, divorce or abandonment during childhood or adulthood may make you afraid to commit to someone you love. Psychotherapy (talk therapy) can help you overcome this commitment phobia.

It can be caused by a mixture of genetic influences, family background, and past experiences. The condition can negatively affect a person’s life and may lead to loneliness or isolation, so treatment is important. Fears around the subject of marriage is real, and people tend to fall in love with looks and God doesn’t force marriage on people.

Apostle Femi Lazarus taught about Gamophobia in a shared clip on his Instagram page. Teaching about falling in love with your partners personality, spirit, orientation and mind and looking beyond looks, body and every other physique.

Apostle Femi Lazarus is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church, This is a ministry with a mandate to Raise God’s End Time Armies for the last days. He also is the founder of the Femi Lazarus Ministries Ecumenical, popularly called FLAME.

He spoke about the relationship phobia in one of his services to enlighten Christians about the ways to overcome it. As much as the physique matters, Christians should understand that both parties will change and our definition of Love should not be shallow.

For example, someone with gamophobia may Be unable to enter into a monogamous relationship. Experience fear and anxiety if they see a committed couple or are in the presence of people in a committed relationship. Be unable to talk about the future, particularly any future plans that involve other people.

  2. Think about what you want
  3. Write about what you want in a journal
  4. Be Honest with people
  5. Discard of Challenge negative thoughts or relationship opinions
  6. Pray and meditate
  7. Be mindful of your thoughts
  8. Make lifestyle changes
  9. Practice meditation
  10. See a Therapist
