TOPIC: Your Character And Your Capacity (Seeds Of Destiny 8 January 2025)
SCRIPTURE: In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Job 1:22.
THOUGHT: You cannot have the character of a beetle and be given the capacity of a truck.
Seeds of Destiny for Today 2024 Message:
Godly character has been identified as a key to a productive life and impactful destiny. Men of impact are men of solid or godly character. It takes godly character to go up in life. Now, one thing to know about character is that character determines capacity. This means not having the character of a beetle and being given the capacity of a truck.
You cannot have the character of a vulture and be given the capacity of an eagle. character determines the responsibility that God can hand to you. You cannot have the character of a beetle and be given the capacity of a truck. You cannot have the character of a dog and be given the capacity of a lion.
You cannot have the character of a vulture and be given the capacity of an eagle. So, your character determines your capacity; your character determines your responsibility. It will interest you to know that it was when the character of Jacob changed that his capacity also changed. This means that your capacity cannot be enlarged until your character is changed.
You can’t become who you are meant to become until you let go of who you used to be. Today, there are many people who God can do nothing with because of the Godly character they have. They might have seen visions of how God will use the God,ghtily, or of how much money they are going to dream of the kingdom of God; but their visions will end as nightmares or daydreams until their negative character changes.

There are people who will arrive at eternity without entering chapter one of the book of their destiny. There are people who will meet Jehovah, and He will tell them that they didn’t scratch the surface of what they were called to achieve on earth. This is because they didn’t have the character that matches their destiny. How can you have the anointing of an apostle and have the character of a criminal? Beloved, God is saying that the anointing, or the grace, is available, but you need the matching character to become what you are meant to be.
Remember this: You cannot have the character of a beetle and be given the capacity of a truck.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Ask God for the grace to grow deeper godly character so you can grow in capacity and responsibility.
- Remain focused on developing godly character.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for showing me the place of character in developing capacity. I ask that You help me to develop Godly character, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
