Power of Music: Are You Dancing to the Devil’s Tunes?
Every music, be it gospel or hip-hop is influenced by something; every artist seeks inspritation from different sources. That is why you must be careful with the kind of music you listen to because if music can get rid of demons, it can attract one. Most of the music out here now attracts demons, and you wonder why your lifestyle is the way it is.
You’re grooving and bumping in the car or the shower, but when you get out, you can’t figure out why your life is standing still. Sometimes, it’s the music that you listen to because whoever you listen to—what’s on them—attaches itself to you.
Rick Joyner said that he was in a vision, and the Lord told him that in the last days, the enemy would bring up singers and other musicians. He said they would baptise millions of people into the demonic world in one moment. Whoever you accept, you get what’s on them.
Also, not only hip-hop or rock can influence you negatively. Some gospel music can also impact you negatively because not all gospel music is gospel.
Music is not just entertainment—it has spiritual consequences. The Bible gives us examples of how music affects the spiritual realm. When David played his harp for Saul, the evil spirit tormenting him left (1 Samuel 16:23). This shows that music has the power to drive away or invite spirits. If godly music can remove demons, ungodly music can attract them.
Many people don’t realise the impact of what they’re listening to. They feel spiritually stuck, but they’re constantly feeding themselves music that carries the wrong spirit. They enjoy the beat, vibe, and emotions, but when the music stops, their lives remain in the same cycle of confusion and stagnation.

Rick Joyner’s vision is a warning about the last days. The enemy is not just attacking through obvious means but also music. He is raising musicians—both secular and so-called gospel artists—to lead people into spiritual darkness.
This is why the phrase “whoever you accept, you get what’s on them” is so critical. Artists carry spirits, and when you listen to them, you are allowing that influence into your life. If a singer is in rebellion, living in sin, or driven by worldly ambitions, their music carries that spirit—even if they mention God in their lyrics.
Many people are quick to reject worldly music, but they don’t realise that not all gospel music is gospel. Some of it is nothing more than entertainment with no real spiritual power. That’s why discernment is necessary.
Music is not neutral—it either aligns with God or with the enemy. That’s why you must be careful. If you are not intentional about what you listen to, you may unknowingly invite the wrong spirits into your life.
Not all gospel music is gospel. Some of it is just another tool the enemy uses to keep people entertained but spiritually asleep.
