TOPIC: Accessing Wisdom By Uprightness (Seeds Of Destiny 26 February 2025)
SCRIPTURE: And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When a man is godless or ungodly, he cannot be unfoolish.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today:
One advantage of living right is access to divine wisdom. Godly character is key to living in wisdom. No wonder the Bible says, The fool said in his heart, There is no God (Psalm 14:1). So, godlessness is foolishness. When a man is godless or ungodly, he cannot be unfoolish. And you know, a major foundation for godly character is the fear of God. That is why Proverbs 8:13 says, The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
This is the fear of the Lord: to hate evil, pride, arrogance, and the evil way. And this fear of God, which is the foundation of godly character, is the beginning of wisdom. Job 28:28 says, And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
Look at the life of Joseph, who refused to compromise because he feared God. Hear what Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, said about him: Can we find a man such as this? A wise man in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. Genesis 41:38. Joseph the Upright was also Joseph the wisest in Egypt. Daniel, in Daniel 1:8, purposed in his heart not to defile himself with a portion of the king’s meat. And this Daniel the upright also became Daniel the wisest.
Daniel 1:8 says, But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. And then see how his uprightness translated into wisdom in Daniel 5:14, which says, I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in thee. My counsel is, make up your mind to live an upright life so you can make demands on and access the wisdom of God.
Remember this: when a man is godless or ungodly, he cannot be unfoolish.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Determine to live an upright life.
2. Make demands on God for the impartation of the Spirit of wisdom.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to live in uprightness so I can connect with Your Spirit of wisdom, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Today, the line has disappeared. The church is worldly; the world is churchy. There is no difference!
