Mountain Top Life Devotional For Today:
We are in a generation in which many believers have been captured by the time-tested antic of the enemy of our souls – tricking Christians into believing that activity is equal to spirituality.
Many are involved in several Christian activities that have drawn them away from concentrating on building a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. As it was rightly pointed out in Part One of this teaching, there are two models portraying the believer’s daily involvement with the Master.
The service-orientated Christian, vividly exemplified by Martha, has placed working for God above walking with Him. Such Christians derive huge pleasure from their Christian service and ministry rather than from their fervent, growing relationship with the Almighty God.
They spend more time planning than praying about issues concerning them. They organise different activities rather than agonise at the altar of prayer. You, my friend, who are using this devotional today, I hope you are not like that. Service-orientated believers are in the public glare, doing one Kingdom assignment or another but they have no secret life with the Master. They are enjoying public celebration without heavenly recognition.
However, as for you, the precious child of God who has been following me, God wants you to be a relationship-orientated Christian. You need to understand that your first service to God is to establish an unbroken, consistent communion with Him.

Let it always be burning in your mind that your most essential need on a daily basis is a vibrant relationship with the Godhead, which is what Jesus is also eagerly expecting from you. The Fire Scripture we read earlier says that Jesus prayed and thereafter chose twelve disciples to be with Him.
That is, they should be in a relationship with Him first and foremost. This is very crucial to the second aspect, which borders on service. The emphasis on service is a probability: “… that he might send them forth to preach. “ As a disciple in this end time, you must be aware of the fact that it takes deep spiritual hunger to maintain a consistent walk with the Lord. Being in fellowship with Him is the way to victorious Christian living.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Lord, I thank You for the Word You sent to me today, in the name of Jesus.
- Power of demonic distraction, lose your grip upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy Ghost fire, incubate my life afresh, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Powers assigned to derail me, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Generational curse raging against my destiny, break in the name of Jesus.
- Every wicked hand lifted against my glory, whether by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I plug my life into the socket of God’s fire, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. I believe in my heart you died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
