AFROBEAT SINGER, SPYRO PERFORMS AT HARVESTERS CHURCH LEKKI

The internet has been buzzing non-stop lately, all thanks to the discussion around Spyro ‘s performance at Harvesters International Christian Centre’s carol service. It’s been quite the talk of the town!

For those who missed it, Spyro, the Afro beats sensation, hit the stage with his latest banger, Only Fine Girl. And just like that, social media erupted with opinions and debates, leaving everyone divided.
In the midst of this commotion, Nollywood actor and film producer, Daniel Etim Effiong, stepped in to shed some light on what really went down at Fantasia 2023, where Spyro showcased his talent.

The Christmas Carol service tagged #HarvestersNG Fantasia 2023: A Christmas Musical, was a free to register stage play which featured Spyro, Skales, Dorathy Bachor, Bisola Aiyeola, Sharon Ooja and a lineup of other celebrities, all of whom are active members of Harvesters.

And here’s the kicker, they performed for free! Yep, you read that right. Tickets? Absolutely free, but you had to register beforehand. Oh, and just to clarify, this wasn’t a regular Sunday service; it was a special evening affair.

Daniel Effiong took to his Instagram page to emphasize that churches should be a haven for everyone, including celebs. As a longstanding member of the Harvesters community, he highlighted the significance of these events and the safe space they provide for all.

Spyro himself also came on to share that the viral clip making the rounds is just a snippet from a drama performance at Fantasia. I have been an integral part of Harvesters for 7 years, actively involved in various departments especially the Choir and Venue management, Spyro said.

Despite his celebrity status, he remains committed to his faith. Pastor Bolaji Idowu holds a special place in my heart, beyond just a spiritual leader.
