With each passing year, this venerable individual has woven a tapestry of memories, accomplishments, and lessons that have left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to know him.
Today, we come together to honour the remarkable life and legacy of a cherished elder on this momentous occasion. He is the planter of Christ Apostolic Church Agbala Itura (Vineyard of Comfort) across the globe.
Prophet Dr Abiara started ministering 55 Years ago and he has impacted millions through his radio and tv ministry. He is a graduate of the C.A.C Theological Seminary in Ile Ife, Osun state, Nigeria
Prophet Dr Samuel Kayode Abiara came into this world during a time of great historical significance, around 8th August, 1942 in Erinmo IJesha Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State. He lost his father at a tender age.
He enrolled in St Peter Anglican School between 1949 and 1954. He started working as a casual worker from 1953-1959 and as a clerk officer in J.A Agoro General Merchants in 1959.
He was served as a polling agent in 1959 in Funtua, Katsina State. While working as a government officer at Akufo Farm Settlement, a village on the outskirts of Ibadan, God called him to be a Prophet .
Thus in 1963, he obliged the call and this gave birth to the Akufo Church. After some aggressive preaching and revivals, his small living room could no longer accommodate the large congregation , he then acquired a land and erected a church in Oke-Igbala, Oyo.
The church experienced so much growth that he had to relocate to the center of the city. While in Akufo, CAC leaders such as Pastor Akindele and Budale used to visit Prophet Abiara at his Akufo base and encouraged him to join the CAC.
This step he took after relocating to the center of the city to form the CAC, Oke Imole, Agbeni in Ibadan, Oyo State. Later, Abiara moved to the Old Ife Road site Ibadan and the site became the popular Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura.
Abiara is a retired General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), the position he occupied for good ten years, was raised in a world vastly different from the one we know today, marked by his award and honorary Doctor of Ministry through St John’s University in the United States of America.
He is the founder and chancellor of CINDICO, an interdenominational Bible College which is affiliated with the Acadia University in Canada.
These early experiences laid the foundation for [his/her] unique perspective and steadfast values that have shaped [his/her] journey.
