TOPIC: Sin – The Destroyer Of Dominion (Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 11 March 2025)
SCRIPTURE: But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies. – Nehemiah 9:28
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Like Adam, when you commit sin, you hand over your dominion to the devil.
Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny For Today:
The Scripture reveals that man was created to live in dominion under God’s dominion. God designed us to have dominion on earth. However, sin is a destroyer of dominion. For example, Adam was given dominion over all other creatures, but he lost his dominion through sin.
Adam and Eve lost their dominion in the Garden of Eden when they fell into the sin of disobedience and lost their righteousness. Sin destroys dominion. Iniquity weakens authority.
Romans 3:23 says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. When you lose uprightness, you lose dominion.
In Nehemiah 9:28, the children of Israel lost their dominion when they sinned: But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies. When the Israelites did evil, they lost their dominion. Sin strips you of the dominion that God has given you.
In our world today, many people have lost their dominion through sin. They were once spiritually powerful, but the moment they allowed sin into their lives, they became dominated by their enemies.
Samson was one example. He once had dominion, killing many of his enemies, but when he sinned, he lost his dominion and became prey to his enemies.
Beloved, the easiest way to lose your dominion is through sin. Like Adam, when you sin, you hand over your dominion to the devil. Therefore, stay away from sin so you don’t surrender your dominion to the enemy.
Remember this: like Adam, when you commit sin, you hand over your dominion to the devil.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Make up your mind never to hand over your dominion to the devil through sin.
- Stay away from all forms of sin.
PRAYER: Father, I ask that You help me never to lose the dominion and authority You have given me. Deliver me from all forms of sin, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
