Eid-el-Fitr: NSCDC Mobilizes 1,945 Officers In Niger State

In a bid to ensure a secure and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,945 personnel across the state.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti, on Thursday in Minna, the state capital. According to the statement, the personnel have been strategically stationed to safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure while maintaining public order during the festivities.

The State Commandant, Adamu Abdullahi Kambra, has instructed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to oversee operations and ensure the protection of key installations. He emphasised that the NSCDC is collaborating with other security agencies to enhance security coverage across the state.

Kambra highlighted the importance of public vigilance, urging residents to report any suspicious activities to security authorities. He reassured the public of the NSCDC’s commitment to maintaining peace during the celebrations.

Furthermore, the command expressed gratitude to the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and the Governor of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, for their continuous support in strengthening security efforts.

The NSCDC assured residents that the deployment of 1,945 personnel will contribute to a safe and incident-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration while extending best wishes to all Nigerlites on the occasion.
