Elijah Akintunde Prepares for a New Album Launch
One-on-One interview session with the Gospel Music Minister took place at PHMedia on Monday, 19th of June 2023. He’ll be having an album launch on Sunday 25th June 2023 at Marve 21, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
‘My mother encouraged me to go to school although I was gifted and everyone knew’. He advised parents to recognize their children’s gifting and encouraged them to be educated. He quoted from Proverbs 1:27 that ‘…the time to pray is not when you are in trouble. Invest in prayers before evil days come.’
Elijah Akintunde Speaks on the song; OLORUN KO SO BEE
‘I dedicated the song Olorun ko so bee, to my mother,’ he said. The song came to him when he was at Ijebu-jesha. He explained further that when he was growing up, people used to say negative statements into his life but his mother kept praying for him instead.
Concerning spiritual fathers, he said, ‘As a minister of the gospel especially a music minister, you must have a prophet as a father. But be certain that your mentor fears God. Besides that, you must be able to pray on your own. Every minister and individual must understand times and seasons so that they don’t labour in vain. The place of prayer is important.’
Elijah Akintunde Unveils His Godfathers in Ministry
Elijah Akintunde said that three fathers in which one of them is Evangelist Ojo Ade and other two fathers in which one of them is now in the US surround him. He advised that ‘…when your experience is full, then your testimony will be full, and your ministry and song will be full, so the experience is a key to your fulfilment.’
‘…the best thing any individual should have is the Lord Jesus Christ. Even if there are mentors and prophets or pastors available for you, yet they are never sufficient. Jesus is Sufficient,’ he concluded.
