Ex-Governor Ajimobi’s Daughter, Bisola Dies In The UK At 42

The eldest daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, has passed away at the age of 42.

Bisola reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the United Kingdom after an undisclosed illness. The news of her passing has been confirmed by sources close to the family.

Until her demise, Bisola served as the special adviser to the minister of budget and planning, Atiku Bagudu. She was known for her contributions to governance and public service, following in the footsteps of her father, who was Oyo State governor from 2011 to 2019.

The news has sent shockwaves through political and social circles. Former Senator Teslim Folarin expressed his sorrow, saying:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs Bisola Kola-Daisi (née Ajimobi). Her untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts. I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child.”

Folarin extended his condolences to the Ajimobi family, particularly former First Lady Florence Ajimobi, and prayed for the strength to bear this loss.

Bisola’s passing is another painful blow to the Ajimobi family, who are still grieving the loss of her father, Abiola Ajimobi, in 2020. She was a wife to Kolapo Kola-Daisi and a devoted mother to three children.
