FINDING STRENGTH IN GOD’S PROMISES- EPISODE 1

The Bible says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8-31). This is to tell us that seeking strength in God is the key to everything in life. Seeking strength in God requires our faith to be immovable.

Every day lies difficulty and obstruction; likewise, there are blessings and gifts from the Lord. Therefore, as Christians, we should draw inspiration by filling ourselves with inspiration from the word of God, the Holy Bible. The Bible is our guide, tailored to all our needs.

It is a brand new week. Below are some tips and Bible verses to help you find strength in God’s promises that will get you through the week.

Trust God’s plans.

  • Proverbs 16:9 “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” This Bible verse teaches us about the need for divine guidance. We always presume to have lots of plans, but we must know that God also has plans for us. If his plans and ours don’t go in line with each other, then those plans won’t work. This verse teaches that whatever steps we want to take, it is God who sanctions them. It is only he who can establish us.

Overcoming Challenges

  • Isaiah 41-10 (NIV): “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse is a message of reassurance and comfort from God to Christians. God is telling us we have no reason to be fearful. We should be looking forward to God’s divine support faithfully. There is no need for us to be anxious about what is to come because we have the Almighty protecting us. Our creator has commanded us not to be dismayed, for he is our God, and he will strengthen and uphold us.

Find peace in God’s presence.

  • Matthew 28–30 (NIV) 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Some of us have entered this week with anxiety in our hearts. We are burdened with self-expectations. God is telling us to come to him with all our troubles, and he will unburden us. Only in God’s presence can we be unburdened, and to be in God’s presence, we have to be born again and free of sin. It is only God who grants everlasting peace.

The Assurance of God’s Love

  • Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love, he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.” This Bible verse depicts God as a warrior who will not only protect us but also save us. God has promised us that his love will never depart from us, he loves unconditionally. He showed us how much he loves us by sacrificing his only begotten son to die for our sins. Therefore, in this new week, believe in God’s love. Be faithful in your beliefs because God finds satisfaction in those who are faithful.
