READ
Colossians 2:1-4
[1]. For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
[2]. that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,
[3]. In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge?
[4]. Now this, I say, lest anyone deceive you with persuasive words.
EXPOSITION
Can anyone quantify the amount of God’s deposit on earth or all His benefits enjoyed by mankind? He puts the mineral resources there to be discovered and excavated for our use. Of course, _Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Cor. 2:9). This talks about God’s great plan and purpose for His children.
Are you one of them? You can enjoy his benefits! Of course, we know that Christ is the revelation of God. He came to unveil everything about God’s glorious kingdom. All you need to know and enjoy is wrapped in Christ. So, no other scheme of salvation or divine knowledge can ever equal, in its depth and excellence, the Gospel plan (Acts 4:12). Christ, as the mediator between man and God, is the great treasure house where we can find all the knowledge and wisdom man needs. You know how far you have gone to find valuable knowledge to take you to your set goals in life. Much more is expected of you to do everything possible to find and dig out the knowledge and wisdom needed to be right with and acceptable to God. On this Earth Day and International Mother Earth Day, be reminded that no amount of earthly possession can make up for your soul. That is why you must accept the provision of God and be part of His great plan. You need Jesus!
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord Jesus, increase my faith and insight to unravel Your plans for my life.
2. Oh Lord, more than claiming my rights, help me to be keen about fulfilling my responsibilities to You.
3. Father, Lord, please meet the urgent needs of Your Church at this time, in Jesus’ name.
