Gospel Rapper Lecrae Praises God as Daughter is Baptised

Gospel rapper Lecrae is overjoyed as his daughter, Maya, publicly declares her faith in Christ through baptism. The artist took to Instagram to share the heartfelt news of Maya surrendering her life to Jesus. Reflecting on the profound moment, he expressed his emotions in a touching post on Instagram:

“Today, my daughter publicly declared her decision to follow Christ, and it’s just now hitting me. I’m overwhelmed with emotion (Dad is crying), reflecting on God’s goodness and faithfulness.”

Lecrae emphasised parents’ deep desire for their children’s physical and spiritual well-being. “As parents, we long for our children’s physical well-being, but more than that, I’ve prayed for their hearts to know and love God.”

He recalled his efforts to guide her spiritually, acknowledging that only God could transform her heart: “I’d sit at breakfast reading the Bible, sharing the gospel, and pointing her to Him, knowing I can’t change my baby girl’s heart—only God can. All I could do was serve, pray, and trust in His timing. And He’s faithful!!!”

Expressing his immense gratitude, he concluded, “I’m beyond grateful because my Heavenly Father is far greater than I could ever be. I LOVE YOU, Maya! Thank you, Jesus!”
