I ALMOST LOST MY VOICE – TENIOLA APATA
Teniola Apata born 23 December 1993) she was born in Lagos State in the southwestern part of Nigeria into the family of Mr and Mrs Apata. Teniola, professionally known as Teni or Teni The Entertainer is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and entertainer. She is from Ekiti State.
On Sunday, November 5th, Teniola took to her social media page to testify to the goodness of God for healing after being diagnosed of a life threatening throat infection while recording her 2nd Album in July 2023 in a video where all her journey to recovery was captured.
At some point, she had different bouts of temporary voice loss and was then advised to undergo a major surgery else she loose her voice permanently.
In September 2023, She was hospitalized after repeated cases of exhaustion where she was given injectables and proper medication.
Teni Apata was signed under the Dr Dolor Record Label in 2017, The fantastic and energetic singer was with the label for five years. During her time at the label, the 28-year-old released numerous popular songs, including Fargin, Askamaya, Case, and Uyo Meyo, among many others.
She eventually left the label and revealed in a social media post, stating that her new body of work would be her best album yet.
In October 2023, she started recovering her singing voice mildly, after seeking more medical assistance despite not undergoing the said surgery and in November 2023, she was fully back on stage and was able to finish her album!
‘TEARS OF THE SUN’ is set to be released on November 17th, 2023
she stated in the video she shared online that her new single MALAIKA is her song of praise to God for his Mercies and Grace and to give us hope that no matter how difficult it gets, God will see us through.
The caption for her video goes thus;
