‘I Have God’: Mercy Chinwo Responds to EeZee Concepts
Renowned gospel artist Minister Mercy Chinwo has clarified the controversy surrounding her and EeZee Concepts. In a detailed statement, she addressed the allegations and shared her side of the story, responding to claims made against her by the label’s founder.
Mercy Chinwo began by explaining the events that led to the current situation:
“A man said I sued him, came online making videos to tarnish my image, looked at me, and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.’ It got to a point where I had to leave Lagos and relocate to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me. I’ve endured bullying. I’ve endured threats. Whatever he is doing on social media is nothing compared to what I went through.”
She clarified that this statement was not intended to paint him in a bad light but to address the truth.
Mercy Chinwo disclosed details of her working relationship with EeZee Concepts, beginning with a management contract she signed in 2017. According to her, the issues began when she refused to sign a 12-year contract the label attempted to impose.
“I signed a management contract in 2017. As we progressed, you tried to convince me to sign a 12-year contract, which I refused. Since then, you started acting funny and bullying me. After the old contract, I discovered it was forged. Please tell the world what happened to the 2017 and 2019 contracts. You seized my royalties for years. You are a bully; you are an oppressor.”
Mercy Chinwo revealed that EeZee Concepts had taken both her and Minister Judikay to court, contrary to claims that she had initiated legal proceedings. She also provided photographic evidence to support her statement.

“He took me and Minister Judikay to court and came online to say I took him to court. You are here playing the victim game. You said you would deal with me, that you have connections and money. What did I do to you? I took you as a father. I was once your backup singer, and I served you diligently.”
In her statement, Mercy Chinwo recounted the personal and professional challenges she faced, including threats and false rumours allegedly spread by the founder of EeZee Concepts. She described an instance where a song collaboration with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey became a point of contention.
“One of my ‘crimes’ was that I did a song with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey because he hates this man. You went as far as sponsoring fake news to hurt an innocent child, my son, and said he was not my son! You paid bloggers. You hate Pastor Jerry Eze and didn’t want me to go to his events. The people you fight, I must fight them with you, and when I ask questions, you start harassing me.”
Despite the ongoing challenges, Mercy Chinwo expressed her unwavering faith in God. She emphasised that no human has the power to destroy her destiny.
“You have bloggers; I have God. The worst thing you can do is what you are doing. Like I said, what I went through working with you is nothing compared to what you are doing now. But I know that God will not let your plan come to pass. His thoughts for me are of good and not of evil.”
In her statement, Mercy Chinwo called for transparency and fairness, urging the public to understand the reality of her experience. Her message highlighted her resilience and trust in divine justice, standing firm against what she described as ongoing oppression.
This unfolding situation continues to generate reactions, as Mercy Chinwo’s testimony sheds light on her journey within the gospel music industry.
