My salvation Journey started 1996/1997. It was actually towards the end of the year at Ilesha College of Education not long after I got admission. I was born into a deeply rooted Muslim background.
Born into a Muslim Family, she confirmed that she is the first person to sing in her family and the inspiration she got to start her ministry was out of her desire for God. She started as a Chorister in her church because she was the type that once loved secular music.
Furthermore, Toyosi Akinya spoke about God’s grace in her life and how it has helped her ministry. She mentioned how her husband has been supporting her, including the Muslims in her family. She said;
‘Firstly, I thank God for Grace, I thank God for my superiors at work for supporting my ministry, even the Muslims for seeing the genuine Presence of God’s call in my life, they have been very supportive. Also, I can’t stop thanking God for blessing me with the amazing children and above all, my husband has been the biggest support and blessing.’
This has been her motivation and has helped her become a better minister.
