Leke Adeboye Replies Those Abusing His Father Pastor Adeboye

Leke Adeboye, son of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has issued a strong warning to those verbally attacking his father on social media. He reshared a statement originally posted by Paul James Adama, condemning the ongoing criticism and cautioning that those who have “crossed the red line” in disrespecting faith leaders will be addressed in terms they “understand”.

The statement also called out Christian influencers, prophets, and young pastors for staying silent while these attacks continue, emphasizing that the insults directed at Pastor Adeboye and the Christian faith will not go unanswered.

This warning comes in response to widespread criticism of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, with many Nigerians accusing him of playing a role in the country’s political challenges. Youths on social media have been dragging the revered cleric, claiming he used his influence to sway votes in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They argue that Adeboye misled Christians under the guise of faith, disguising political intentions in religious teachings.

Several viral images of Pastor Adeboye with Tinubu have fuelled the controversy, with some critics going as far as to label him a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” for allegedly deceiving his followers. The backlash has gained momentum under the #30DaysRantChallenge, where aggrieved Nigerians have been openly criticising religious leaders and their role in politics.

While some argue that faith leaders should be held accountable for their political affiliations, others believe the attacks have become excessive and unwarranted. Leke Adeboye’s response highlights the ongoing tensions between religion, politics, and public perception in Nigeria today.
