Minute Mercy Saved Us: Prophet Hezekiah Escapes Plane Crash
PROPHET HEZEKIAH SPEAKING AT THE SPECIAL THANKSGIVING HELD AT THE CAC SECRETARIAT ON MAY 13, 2024
Prophet Hezekiah, speaking at the special Thanksgiving service held at the CAC secretariat on Monday, May 13, 2024, narrated his ordeal on a flight he boarded to Lagos in an attempt to attend the altar of praise event held in Akobo, Ibadan.
On May 10, 2024, Prophet Hezekiah and his entourage landed in Abuja to board a flight heading to Ibadan for the Altar of Praise event. On getting to Abuja, he was notified that his flight had been cancelled. The prophet wouldn’t be deterred by this, though. He resorted to looking for a flight that was going out of Abuja at all costs just to get to Ibadan for the altar-of-praise event.
Eventually, the prophet and his entourage secured tickets to a flight headed to Lagos. On Saturday, May 11, at 11 o’clock, their plane took off from the Nnamdi Azikwe airport in Abuja, Nigeria. Prophet Hezekiah’s entourage consisted of 11 assistants and 9 ministers.
30 minutes after taking off from the airport, the pilot announced that the weather in Lagos airspace was bad and everybody in the plane was alarmed. Sitting beside the prophet was a woman with a young boy. The woman had become fearful as soon as she heard the announcement. Shockingly, this woman’s son touched her and pointed to the prophet Hezekiah; then he said, “Mom, do not be afraid; look at this man; he has the kings of kings with him.”.
Although the prophet pretended he did not hear the boy’s words, he kept his composure. Shortly after, the pilot announced that he would divert to Ibadan for an emergency landing. Not long after, the pilot received a message that he should land in Lagos.
Prophet Hezekiah, like every other passenger, was expecting to land soon after, but what they experienced was unexpected and disturbing.
On entry into Lagos airspace, the passenger sitting in front of Prophet Hezekiah screamed, “There’s a problem.”. At this point, the cabin started to pacify the passengers, telling them everything would be fine and initiating safety precautions.
After 30 minutes in Lagos airspace, there was still no way to land the aircraft. Every time the pilot tried to land, the intense storm would interfere, and he would have to get back to a high altitude. Finally, the pilot announced he would land the plane, but anything could happen.
Next, the pilot brought down the plane. However, when the landing gears touched the ground, they skidded off the runway. The plane swerved left and right in a dramatic manner and would sometimes lift itself into the air and back to the ground.
Watching this situation unfold, the prophet Hezekiah let out three sentences: “The God of my fathers, the God of Ayo Babalola, the God of my calling, take control of this craft.” After uttering these words, the plane swerved into a muddy path close to the runway and stopped. The prophet said that had the plane not stopped, it would have crashed into the expressway, and a catastrophe would have ensued.

The prophet thanked God, and he and his entourage, along with other passengers, exited the plane through the emergency exit. When the prophet and his entourage exited the plane, they were flabbergasted. One of the ministers with him asked, “Is this where we came out from?” Such was the level of shock they had experienced. After that, passengers came forward, asking the prophet to pray for them.
Concluding his testimony, the prophet said he “saw death three days ago.” The prophet said he had seen a prediction of death in April, but thank God, God is good. Furthermore, he said, he can’t say these trials are over, but what is for sure is that the God of the Christ apostolic church took control on that day.
Lastly, he thanked God and said, “Minute mercy” saved his life and that of the other passengers.
