A teacher is a person who helps others to acquire knowledge, competences or values. Teaching is a designation for the office, position, and profession for someone who devotes himself in the field of education through patterned educational interaction, formal and systematic.
To be a great teacher means to inspire, Great teachers ignite students’ interests and inspire them to wonder and discover. They take on many roles; storyteller, historian, mathematician, scientist, caregiver and each one brings learning to life.
Most importantly, a good teacher is one who does not merely focus on our academic performance but our overall development. Only then can a student truly grow. Thus, good teachers will understand their student’s problems and try to deal with them correctly.
A learner on the other hand is a person who is trying to gain knowledge or skill in something by studying, practicing, or being taught.
Learning is a process that leads to change, which occurs as a result of experience and increases the potential for improved performance and future learning. The change in the learner may happen at the level of knowledge, attitude or behavior.
A change in human disposition or capability that persists over a period of time and is not simply ascribable to processes of growth. Learning is the relatively permanent change in a person’s knowledge or behavior due to experience.
However, to grow in 2024, we believe 2 things can help each individual become better and get strength to scale through the year; Which is either you TEACH– Become TEACHER or LEARN– Become a LEARNER.
Teaching and learning goes hand in hand, this explains widening your horizons and getting to know things better at the same time pouring out some knowledge into others and making an impact.
Teaching keeps the teachers up to date with the learning, while learning keeps the students up to date with the teaching. In both cases you end up knowing more and understanding more. Both teaching and learning need analytic functioning of brain. When we teach Students, we also learn those things more vividly.
Teaching is the practice implemented by a teacher aimed at transmitting skills (knowledge, know-how, and interpersonal skills) to a learner, a student, or any other audience in the context of an educational institution. Teaching is related to learning, the student’s activity of appropriating this knowledge.
