Pastor Adeboye Prophesies RCCG Meetings On The Moon

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has stirred up widespread conversation following a bold prophecy he recently shared during a church event. According to Pastor Adeboye, God revealed to him that in the future, the RCCG Governing Council will hold their meetings on the moon.

“I’m not doubting God. I know with Him, all things are possible,” Adeboye stated. “He told me — and I shared it with some of my people — that a day is coming when the representatives of the Church of God will hold their meetings on the moon. I know that doesn’t make sense. But He said it, and it will come to pass.”

He further explained that while many people laughed at past revelations — such as God telling him he would build a city while he lived in a single room in Mushin — they later witnessed those visions become reality.
“You don’t have to believe it,” Adeboye emphasised. “But He has spoken, and it will come to pass. Every great thing that God has prophesied concerning you shall come to pass.”

Mixed reactions trail the prophecy.

The declaration has ignited a wave of reactions across social media and news platforms, with opinions divided between awe and criticism.

Supporters of the prophecy see it as an expression of unshakeable faith. Many have likened it to previous prophetic statements by Pastor Adeboye that eventually came true, calling the message a reminder that “with God, nothing is impossible.”

However, critics have not held back. Some questioned the logic and timing of such a vision, citing Nigeria’s many challenges.

“We don’t even have electricity to charge our phones, but RCCG is booking a flight to the moon?” one social media user commented.

In a now-viral reaction, TikTok content creator Seaking challenged Adeboye’s statement, labelling him a “liar” and expressing concern over religious leaders making “confusing and misleading claims”. His post, along with others, sparked a heated debate about the role of spiritual prophecies in addressing real-world issues.

For some, the moon prophecy is a symbolic representation of incoming change in Nigeria and a call to dream beyond earthly limits. For others, it raises questions about accountability, priorities, and the practicality of religious influence in modern governance and public life.
