PFA Awards 2024: The Best of English Football

PFA Awards 2024 were held in Salford, England, on the 20th of August 2024. Manchester City star Philipp Foden took the biggest prize of the night. After a fantastic season, the 24-year-old was named the PFA Player’s Player of the Year, replacing absent Kevin de Bruyne in the heart of Pep Guardiola’s team. His incredible season helped Manchester City beat Arsenal to achieve a record 4th PL title in a row. Foden scored 19 goals and had 8 assists in 35 appearances, his highest tally in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s young English forward, Cole Palmer, was named the Young Player of the Year. The 22-year-old Stockport native recorded 22 goals and 12 assists in his first season as a Chelsea player. The versatile forward’s impressive breakout season secured Chelsea’s finish in the top half of the table and qualification for the UEFA Conference league. However, the forward missed out on the team of the year selections.
