President Tinubu To Mark 73rd Birthday With Special Prayers
President Bola Tinubu will mark his 73rd birthday on Saturday with a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja, joining fellow Muslims in seeking divine intervention for Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, noted that the President would use the occasion to express gratitude to God for sustaining him in his leadership role.
Titled ‘President Tinubu To Mark 73rd Birthday with Special Prayer at the Abuja National Mosque’, the statement highlighted the significance of the President’s birthday coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan and coming just two months before his administration’s second anniversary.
“On this significant day, the President will dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity,” Onanuga stated.
He emphasised that Tinubu’s choice of a prayer session reflects his commitment to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being, as well as his belief in seeking divine guidance for leadership. “He believes collective prayer is a powerful tool for guiding the nation towards progress and harmony,” Onanuga added.

The president urged Nigerians to participate in the prayers from their respective places of worship, fostering a sense of national unity and shared purpose.
Expressing appreciation for the support and goodwill of Nigerians, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic reforms, national security, and expanding opportunities for all citizens.
“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation. As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with renewed hope for Nigeria.
“I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives,” he said.
Tinubu also reiterated his dedication to strengthening democracy, fostering economic recovery, and promoting national cohesion. He encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief in the country’s potential as a beacon of hope for Africa.
