Primate Ayodele Says Bandits May Seize Power In The North

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a dire warning regarding the escalating insecurity in Nigeria. On Tuesday, Primate Ayodele called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to take urgent action to curb insecurity, particularly in the northern part of the country.

According to a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele cautioned that bandits are working relentlessly to destabilize the current administration. He claimed their ultimate goal is to seize control of government houses, especially in the northern region.

“Some governors need to be very careful so they won’t be sacked from office by these insurgents,” he warned. “The governors of Borno, Professor Babagana Zulum, and Benue, Hyacinth Alia, must take this insecurity thing seriously so that their offices will not be taken over by these daredevils.”

The cleric asserted that there are powerful forces behind the insecurity crisis and stressed that failure to act swiftly could lead to even more disastrous consequences. “I am warning Nuhu Ribadu and President Tinubu to quickly deal with the insecurity issues, especially in the north. There are people behind it to frustrate the president, and they want to fight without mercy. Let’s be careful so that insurgents will not sack any governor,” he stated.

Primate Ayodele also urged the nation to pray against the situation he foresees, predicting that the current wave of insecurity will not remain confined to the north but will extend to other parts of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory.

“They will terrorise them, and we need to pray so we don’t see a situation of these governors and some in the north vacating their offices,” he added. “This will also spread to Abuja, Kaduna, Yobe, and Nasarawa. We must be very careful.”
