Today, we celebrate Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Nigeria and overseas as a hero of the Christian faith. His life and ministry stand as a powerful testament to faith, resilience, and divine purpose. As we mark this special day, let’s take a closer look at his background, his journey in faith, and his remarkable achievements.

His Background

Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji was born on February 13, 1967, in Oloba Compound, Edun Abon, Osun State, Nigeria. He attended Baptist Primary School in Edun-Abon, where he demonstrated brilliance despite battling a sickness that affected his legs and hindered his education. Although he faced significant challenges due to his health, Hezekiah remained an outstanding student, even though his academic potential was limited by his condition.

In 1982, a significant tragedy struck when Prophet Hezekiah lost his mother while still searching for a cure for his leg ailment. Following her death, his father apprenticed him to Abela Oye, an auto mechanic in Osogbo, where he spent his time learning a trade. Little did he know that this period of hardship would catalyse a spiritual transformation that would shape his future ministry.

A Journey in Faith

Prophet Hezekiah’s faith journey began in 1983 when, while working as an apprentice in Osogbo, he had a life-changing encounter with Christ. He joined the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour. This marked the beginning of his transformative journey in Christ. His dedication to prayer and evangelism quickly grew, and through his fervent prayers, Hezekiah received divine healing for his leg ailment.

In 1985, Prophet Hezekiah received a divine calling to ministry, which was confirmed through a vision in which he saw Jesus Christ and Apostle Babalola. This spiritual encounter sparked a deep passion in him to pursue full-time ministry. However, this calling was not without its struggles. Despite facing numerous personal challenges, including difficulties in establishing his mechanic workshop, Prophet Hezekiah pressed on, confident that God had a purpose for his life.

In 1992, he enrolled at Babajide School of Prophets and Evangelists, where his spiritual aptitude was acknowledged. But it was not until a transformative encounter in 1993, during a mountaintop prayer, that he received a divine revelation, which foretold material prosperity if he would abandon his secular pursuits. This moment marked a pivotal turning point in his faith journey.

Prophet Hezekiah’s ministry is also marked by powerful divine manifestations. In 2003, he received divine instruction to develop Erio Mountain, a once-overgrown terrain, which has since become a site of remarkable miracles and divine encounters. His obedience to God’s calling at this site has brought about numerous miracles, further establishing his ministry as one that demonstrates the power of God at work. In January 2018, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji was appointed the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, a position that solidified his role as a spiritual leader both in Nigeria and internationally.
