RCCG’s 83 Hours Marathon Praise; An Event Like No Other
The 83 Hours Marathon Praise is an annual event organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to celebrate the birthday of its General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, who turned 83 this year. The 2025 edition, themed “Hallelujah,” commenced on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, and is set to conclude on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, totalling 83 hours of uninterrupted praise and worship.
The event has been a remarkable display of devotion, featuring performances from numerous gospel artists and praise teams. Notable among them are Dunsin Oyekan, Olorunyomi Esther, who delivered a spirited performance despite being pregnant, Adeyinka Alaseyori, New Zealand Altar Choir, and Bidemi Olaoba, who was involved in a controversy recently regarding his worship style.
The marathon praise continues to captivate attendees with its spiritual ambiance and high-energy worship sessions. The event is being live-streamed, allowing a global audience to participate in the celebration. As the event progresses, more esteemed gospel artists are scheduled to perform, including Chioma Jesus, Nathaniel Bassey, Odunayo Adebayo, and Wale Ayeni.
