THE MIRACLES OF BABALOLA PRAYER MOUNTAIN

Babalola Prayer Mountain in Odo-Owa Kwara State is the historical prayer ground of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, the founding father of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). This was the first of the seven prayer grounds of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola. The prayer ground is located in Odo-Owa Kwara State, which is the hometown of the renowned hero of faith.

This prayer ground holds great significance in the story of the rise of Joseph Ayo Babalola. Many Nigerian Christians believe that on this mountain you can get a divine visitation from God. At this mountain, the great apostle performed miracles, knowingly and unknowingly.

Also, there are monuments to the apostle Ayo Babalola on the mountain. The following are some miracles and monuments on the mountain.

FIVE MIRACLES AND MONUMENTS ON BABALOLA PRAYER MOUNTAIN, ODO-OWA.

• The shadow of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola on the mountain
  On the mountain, there is a shadow-like outline of a person on the floor. The shadow-like image is reported to be Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola’s shadow. The apostle was known to be quite prayerful, and he would often spend hours kneeling at a spot to pray. This is considered a miracle, and pilgrims tend to pray near this particular spot.

 

• Miraculous healing water
  On Babalola prayer mountain, there’s a body of water like a small suspended lake. It is reported that Apostle Babalola did miracles with this water. It is said that the water never dries up. People have claimed to be healed by this water. Pilgrims on the mountain take out the water to drink and bathe in the hope of miracles.

 

• The cave where Apostle Babalola prayed
  Below the Apostle Babalola mountain, is his parents’ settlement called Igboniyu in the town of Odo-Owa, Kwara State, In this settlement, there is a tree, and near this tree is a cave. Apostle Babalola would go into this cave to fast and pray for numerous hours and sometimes days. The apostle was known to be a relentless prayer warrior. Pilgrims do go into the cave to pray.

 

• The first altar where Apostle Babalola preached
  There is a separate rock on the mountain, which the mountain curators claim to be the initial altar Babalola used to preach his first sermon on the mountain.

 

• The map of Nigeria
  On the mountain, there’s a rock formation that forms the exact map of Nigeria. The rock structure is said to have been created by heavenly hands.

This mountain is venerated by members and non-members of the CAC movement. Lots of people visit this prayer ground every year. Every year, the CAC holds a convention for thousands of pilgrims who gather at this holy site for worship. It is one of the biggest events in the area.

Right now on Babalola’s prayer mountain in Odo-Owa, Kwara State, the annual CAC convention is going on. It is themed The Incomparable Power (Agbára tí kò ní àfiwé). Ministering there will be God’s anointed vessel, Prophet/Evangelist Hezekiah Oladeji, the fifth General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas.
